ISLE 1 WEED CONTROL
Most weeds lack the necessary level
of salt tolerance to compete with SeaIsle
1 in salt-affected turfgrass environments.
A close mowing height of less than 12mm
(1/2 inch.) will also provide a tight,
dense canopy that deters weed growth.
The exception include those grassy weeds
like kikuyugrass, torpedograss
and kyllinga, which are extremely
aggressive in warm coastal venues, wet
soil conditions and aquatic waste sites.

ISLE 1 WEED INFORMATION
Current herbicides available to homeowners
are generally not labeled for Seashore
Paspalum. Irrigation
with saltwater has been one method
used to effectively control both grassy
and broadleaved weeds in Seashore
Paspalum. Herbicides that do
not injure Paspalum
include pendimethalin, halosulfuron, and
mixtures of 2,4-D, dicamba, and MCPP.
Consult your local Licensed SeaIsle
Producer office for proper
identification of weeds and a prescription
for environmentally friendly control of
the problem.
NOTE:
Paspalum
shows injury with any Atrazine
product such as Scotts Bonus S Weed and
Feed.
